I recently bought a 1 TB SSHD and tried to install it into my Acer Predator Helios 300 because I started to run out of space on my primary hard drive which was only a 256 gb ssd. When the new SSHD came in the mail from amazon I was excited and expected the installation which I would do myself to take no more then 10 mins. To my surprise, the installation took more than 5 hours of my time and it still hasn't been installed. For some odd reason my laptop doesn't recognize the SSHD and I've tried everything and I've still come up empty handed. At this point I became very frustrated and decided to return the SSHD, but before I did I came to see if anyone here would know what to do. Please help!

Solution
yeah, likely it wasn't partitioned so it'll show in device mgmt and need to be initialized.
Acronis or Windows Backup can image you SSD to the new drive
