Question Laptop won't start after CPU upgrade ?

Hello, I recently bought new CPU for my HP Pavilion G6 laptop.

I installed it but the laptop will only power on for a second then shut itself off.
I tried:

• Clearing CMOS
• Starting with only power and start button, with and without CPU.
• I even tried putting the old CPU back in but it still doesn't work.

Today it tried to POST like four times but the screen was black and then it went back to starting for a second then shutting itself down.

i think it was pentium b970 and installed i7 3632qm which i found was best cpu my mb would support
and changed because my old cpu died

It's possible your motherboard needs a BIOS update to support that CPU. You may need another CPU to install that is not the latest model from that generation, such as the same CPU you had before, so you can install the BIOS update.

wont help because it does not post with the old cpu and i know it works because i used it but wanted to swap it because i was dying.
