Laptops for multitasking

Hello,
I'm a mom of six and ALWAYS on the go. I've been in the market for an ipad/tablet for a couple of years now, but with the amount of emails I send and documents I create I decided that I want a convertible. I also don't want the screen and keyboard to disconnect - they need to stay connected. I want 3rd gen i7, a minimum of 4GB/320GB. Is there a laptop that fits this bill?

Do you want an Apple or Windows laptop? A third generation i7 for a laptop is a pretty powerful processor and may not be needed unless you are doing photo editing or graphic design applictions on it. An i5 would be more than enough for multitasking , emails and word processing.
There are severasl web sites that you can go to and use the builtin system builder to put together a laptop with the opyions that are offered and then they will build it and sell it to you.
HP , Dell, lenovo and Toshiba to name a few. The final price depends on the options that you choose.

I'm not dead set against Apple, but would prefer Windows. Really appreciate the input on the processor. Thank you.
