Large frame rate drops

I have an amd fx 8350 and a Gtx 1060 6gb
I've been getting frame rate drops up to 5 fps even on Very Low on many games and I've ran benchmarks, the temperature of my cpu drops when I get the frame rate drops, I've tried many things to fix this such as:

Turning cool n quiet off
Checking bios
Changing maximum and minimum cpu usage to 99%
Removing malware

Please help

What games does this happen in? What resolution do you play at?

So far I've tried battlefield 4 and no mans sky at 2560 x 1080 and I've done a cpu benchmark.
