I'm wondering if there is any downside, besides price, to using a 2TB 960 pro without any other storage.

A lot of people are not aware of this. But the driver used for "NVME" is Samsung.

Edit: This is the one downside I have, other than that, Blazing along at ultra fast 32G/s SPEED!

Does this mean that Samsung has acces to my data if I were to use their 960 pro?

I expect you'll find the same in every EULA and Privacy agreement.
They are not snarfing up your games and porn.
 


Yes. Anything on that drive is theirs. You give them ownership to anything and everything on the nvme. That is if they wanted it.
