Just one DIMM, largest size?

No I dont want to purchase it, I am sure it is expensive, but, part of a topic in college that we are discussing. Any help would be appreciated, especially if its an article explaining the current limitations imposed on memory amount for a single chip. Thanx!!!!

Biggest I have seen is 2gbx1 stick but then I haven't gone looking for a bigger DIMM than that.

So far, the biggest i know of are 4GB DIMM's.
