I have a Samsung m2835DW mono laser printer that is ghosting. In a test with a thick horizontal line at the top of the page, the line is ghosted repeatedly 78 mm below, eventually fading out completely at the bottom of the second (empty) page. The circumference of the image drum is ~78 mm, and I'm tempted to replace it, but I read comments elsewhere that a bad fuser can also cause this (but the print is not smearing). If I could end up replacing both, I might as well buy a new printer. I hope someone can save me from wasting money.

something is definitely wrong with that unit. if replacing the toner cartridge didn't fix it, it's new printer time. I got an $80 monochrome laser Brother for my son, it's wifi, works perfect and toner cartridges are cheap

i had a brother laser all through college but the new ones are AWESOME, like automatic 2 sided printing (saves tons of paper for schoolwork or work)

this is my model but it went up to $114

1000s of prints later, it's still perfect and using original toner
