Laser Printer Samsung ML-1710 not connecting to USB 3.0

hello. i have samsung ML 1710 laser printer which is not being recongnised by my Laptop because of 3.0 USB port and asking to connect it to 2.0 port. please help

As you've discovered, some devices designed for USB 2.0 will not work if plugged in to a USB 3.0 port.

If your computer was a desktop PC you could have solved the problem by installing a USB 2.0 PCI card, but obviously with a laptop that's not possible. If all the USB ports on your laptop are USB 3.0 then you'll have to buy another printer that's designed for USB 3.0

But first check your laptop's user manual to see if one of the ports is USB 2.0
