LASER PRINTERS

I have a lexmark z33 inkjet printer that I don't often use so that when I do
want to print something the ink is dried in the nozzels ( I think ). I want
to know if the same sort of thing happens with laser printers as I'm
thinking of getting one. Is a second hand one a good idea?

There are no nozzles in a laser printer. I don't know what other problems
may occur from not using it for prolonged periods.

I have always been pro-laser. The only advantage an inkjet has is the low
cost
and that quickly disapears when it is time to buy a cartridge. You can get
real
good deals on used HP 4s and prior. No, you won't have any problems with
a laser not being used for weeks at a time. As long as it not subjected to
direct
sunlight or low or high humidity. Stay away from the cheaper non-HP models.
Just my opinion.

I have an aging HP IIIP (with a remanufactured cartridge) which gets
used when some other machine goes wrong or some such, so last time it
was used it must have been about its first use in two (maybe three)
years, and it was fine.
