So here is the story, I had an ASUS Sabertooth P67 with a GTX 560ti which was overclocked. Upgraded to GTX 970. Booted up and played a game than rebooted. Upon rebooting, nothing happened. I just happened to order a new mobo (MSI Z170A M3 and an Intel i7 6700K) So I wasn't to worried. My friend let me try the 970 on his and this time the fans all ran full blast and video but I saw my keyboard and mouse lights light up, however, monitor did not. Tried my 560ti on his motherboard. Same thing! So today I got my motherboard and installed the 970 and same exact thing. Installed the 560ti, same thing. Changed my PSU, rechecked all connections, The only way I can boot is with an old 8400GS. So I was able to updated BIOS, update all the drivers and what not. Reinstalled the 970, Sounded like a vaccum! Same thing with the 560ti.
Been emailing EVGA and they say well, the card could have faulted out. Sent me information on RMA.
What I don't understand is, I read all over the net about this issue. I've did all the tricks. PSU, RAM, what have you.
Is it possible to flash the BIOS on the GTX? I'll try the 560 before the 970.
I literally just got new parts to play high def games and I only got one hour out of it! Ugh!
Any insight?
