When i've built my PC a few days ago and installed a clean copy of Windows 10, my BIOS Boot time was around 8 seconds. Two days later, and it went to 14 seconds. Today it shows 16 seconds. Why does my BIOS Boot Time keep getting higher and what causes this?
MSI B450 GAMING PLUS MAX
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
It is the time it takes for the bios to hand control over to Windows at start up. Mine is about 16 seconds too.
About only control you have is to update chipset drivers or turn on fast boot in the bios.
14-16 seconds is not unusual. Pretty typical, actually.
Starting at 14 seconds with a brand new system, and now 16, might easily be due to other drives getting connected, new services starting up, etc, etc.
