Hi, I used to have 1-2 seconds of Last BIOS time previously. Then there was a problem with my diagnostic display on my motherboard. So I had it changed 1 to 1. Now the Last BIOS time is 9+ seconds.
What is the cause of this?
Will reformatting my SSD(Windows installed there) lower my Last BIOS time?

BIOS POST time of 9 secs is the normal average boot time in most modern motherboards these days. having less than that... either you turned on hibernation mode or there is some "special" feature on your laptop/motherboard. even with Fast Boot enabled. it wont give your 2 seconds.

i highly dont advise this but if you want your 2 secs back all you need to do is go to your OS powerplan. choose what power buttons do. check/change what settings you feel you need.

Re-install just to see if it gets boot time down to less than 9 seconds? That's crazy.

What's so bad about 9 seconds, many PC users would kill for that.

In any case, there's no need to shut down a PC every time you go to bed - - put it to sleep instead, no waiting for it to boot up at all then, but with only a 9 second boot time I really don't see what you're problem is.

I'm paranoid because this pc is less than a month old and every components are high end. My laptop of 1 year+ and its a mid range gaming laptop, boot time 3-4 seconds.
