Hi, Everyone

I have pretty much finalised my part list for my first PC build. I have done heaps of research for every componant but i just want someone who knows exactly what they are doing to have a look over it all and tell me if there is anything worth changing.

I am not getting a aftermarket cooler as i don't plan on overclocking just yet, Ill add one later if i need to. Also im not going to have 2 GPU's at any point so SLI Motherboard isn't a must.

why purchase a K cpu if no overclocking a non K is cheaper

changed out two parts the 120g ssd are small if your going to use the for games and programs and the os. a 256g let you put a few games on it without filling it up. on a large amd card like the 390 your better off going with a larger power supply to give the 12v rail some extra overhead. myself if you can hold off on the gpu nvidia has tapped out pascal gpu chips. you may be seeing pascal at end of this year or just after holiday season.

I will be honest, I got a build similar to yours (check my signature), and i had the same thought as you.

"I will only overclock down the road, in 1 year time or so"

"8 GB is fine as it is"

Problem is, as soon as I got the build complete, i wanted to start to mess with it right away. I was also lacking a cooler.... so, I had to order one and wait a bit more.

Also, I deeply regret getting 2x4GB and not 2x8GB RAM... So check if the difference in price is too much of a hassle.

and change the RAM to 2x8GB. I know that maybe it is a little overkill, but you will regret not having it. (I've already encountered some problems due to lack of memory in terms of gaming and simulations for work).

Just loooked up the pascal chips and they are a little too far away. As for the the SSD, is there a huge diference between running a game on a SSD and a typical HD?

I want to save money where i can so if the GPU works fine with a 650 volt power supply i would rather stay with that.

i have done heaps of research and it seems 8GB of RAM is enough. If I run into issues it is super easy to just add more. As for the cooler, im patient enough to wait a few days for one if/when i do decide to overclock.
