Hi all,

Hi all,

First time PC enthusiast builder here. This is what I have planned.

mb) asus strix z390-i

gpu) asus 1080

cpu) i9-9900k

cooler) cooler master master liquid 240.

case) corsair carbide 400 atx

My two concerns are mainly: 1) will everything fit in that case?, and 2) will that cooler be enough for that processor. I'm intending to run ac:eek:dyssey on ultra/very high and waiting out 2019/20 for cyberpunk.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, including any oversight I may have missed.

Solution
If you have an ATX case with no aspirations to make a teeny tiny PC, mATX gives you 4 RAM slots so you can add another 2 sticks in the future as well as 2 open expansion slots (after the GPU occupies 2 slots)

GTX1080 is pretty overpowered for a 1080p/60Hz monitor. Might look at an upgrade in the future.

I'll let others comment on the 240mm AIO. I know the 9900K is a hot chip. Would a 9700K suit your needs?

The case is one that I already have, do you have an alternative motherboard?
PSU 750w corsair 80 plus
RAM 16gb corsair 2666
ssd samsung 256gb + crucial mx500 500gb m.2

normal 60hz 1080p monitor
uk
budget is around this (850-950 pounds) for the motherboard/psu/crucial ssd/processor.

The case, gpu, cooler and monitor I am keeping from my current PC.

the 9700k probably would work, the reason I chose the 9900k was because I could get it for only 45 more pounds which is not much in the long term.

I'm leaning more towards the z390-H instead of the 390-i.
