Last week, my computer (2011 Acer Timeline) gave me a little heart attack when it show me a blue screen. I did a few things trying to fix the situation :
- Install updates (but there were only optional ones)
- Scan for viruses (nothing found)
- Check for error on my HDD (a few corrupted zips, nothing else)
- Memory check (didn't seem to find anything either)
And from then on, everything was fine... until yesterday, when another blue screen appeared. Now when I start my computer, I am prompted between running Startup Repair or trying Windows normally. I chose normally, it gets to the windows logo screen and it pulses and pulses... but nothing ever happens. Hard shutdown later, same prompt, this time I chose to run the Startup Repair. I let it run all night and this morning, it shows me that it couldn't repair it. Along the info on the error, there's this little part which I think is important "NoRootCause".
What can I do? What is causing this?
I haven't try anything since the Startup Repair failed (still on screen, actually), so suggest me a plan of actions and I'll do it.
The irony is, I was thinking of replacing my computer in the next few months, but this is a bit sudden.
