Latency when using Ethernet ports from wireless router over Ethernet ports from modem?

I was wondering if it would be a noticeable decrease in latency connecting my PC to the modem with a Ethernet cable, over connecting my router to the modem, then connecting my PC to a Ethernet port on the router. I am going to be mostly gaming and want to have the least amount of latency possible. I don't want to buy a modem that will only have 1 Ethernet port if there is a noticeable difference. I would rather have a modem with 2 or more Ethernet ports so that I can wire my PC directly to the modem, and have a separate Ethernet cable connection going to the router to provide wireless connection to my home. I am going to have 75 Mbps internet connection speed installed and don't want to pay an extra $10 a month for Comcast to lone me a modem. If anyone can recommend a good modem under $100 with at least 2 Ethernet ports that would be great.

You can plug directly into the modem but if you get the equipment from comcast it has a modem, four port switch, wireless ap built in and you won't notice any difference and honestly their equipment isn't that bad and you can take it in and exchange it at any time if you buy a modem and then buy a wireless ap to connect to your modem it will most likely have a four port switch on the back of it as well usually these days they are gigabit ethernet ports though you wont need anything faster than Fa or fast ethernet and plugging into the modem or switch ports won't have any noticeable difference.
