[SOLVED] Latest and best processor for PGA478

Hey , I got an old laptop from trash and I decided to do some upgrades to make it faster but I am stuck at the processor.

It's CORE 2 DUO T5800 processor clocked at 2.0GHz without any iGPU.
Socket PGA478

Please suggest me a best and latest processor compatible to this socket

core 2 extreme QX9300 would be "latest" and "greatest" for this socket, but it draws 45watts
your current CPU draws 35watts, so id stay at this number, otherwise it would overheat and charging/battery drain might not be sufficient
so core 2 duo T9900 which is dual core 3.06GHz with 3x bigger CPU cache

A problem......what cpu's does the bios support?
What cpu options did the maker of this laptop offer?

As Bob mentions, BIOS support is going to be your big issue here. I wouldn't bank on any post-Merom CPUs working with this, so a T7800 is probably as far as I would bother unless you just feel like experimenting.
