Latest Sidewinder Game Controller Software

My MS Sidewinder game controller software is version 4.0 with a
date of year 2000. Is there something more recent? I couldn't
locate any downloads on Microsoft's site, so I would appreciate a
URL if someone has one.

Will,
I am afraid, MS discontinued both production and support for their
Sidewinder line some time ago. Version 4.0 is the latest and the last (and
quite satisfactory).

Driver software for the Sidewinder Controllers is built in to Windows XP, we
have SP2, so I'm not sure if it is in SP1 and earlier.
