Still nothing that says: "Hey the UI doesn't require you to do a million keyboard and mouse combo commands to accomplish something that only took 4 mouse clicks in windows 7!"

Seriously dude...

How about fixing the issue where the "Search the web and Windows" get very slow until a point where it practically hangs each time I click it ?!

Windows 10 was, is and will be garbage no matter how you slice it. OS is just crap.

Or you could press the Windows key, type in what you want and press enter, just like they implemented since Windows 8, the first element is already selected so you don't even have to move your mouse.

Windows 7 worked like that too.

i updated to the new insider build and freakin hate it. was running an old build and had blocked updates so i could poke around some. this new version won't let my XB1 controller work nor some older games i had running. they all fail to load now. stupid windows defender eats up a ton of resources and had to be disabled right away as it made the pc almost unusable. i am VERY unimpressed with this "update" as there are a lot of bugs that were not there before a couple months ago. not sure how they break something that worked while trying to fix something that was broken but totally unrelated. sure hope the next update fixes more than it breaks. i'm ready to back up to the older build and stick with it for now.

On my Surface Pro 4, I hold the button down on the stylus and Cortana starts listening, I say "Calculator" and magically the calculator app opens.

On the Lumia 950, I say "Hey Cortana, start calculator" and the app magically opens.

Or, in either instance, tap the microphone icon next to Cortana and do the same. 1 click, very efficient.

Care to give an example of your complain ?

Easy. Go the the Installed Updates menu. It's a horrible mess compared to the neat table in Windows 7 and 8.1 that allowed you to sort them by a number of different properties (publisher, install date, name, etc) - instead it's all shoved into one space-wasting list that takes forever to scroll. And the whole UI is built with this stupid attitude: "let's break what worked really well in the past because we need to find something for our UI designers to do!"

In Windows 7 you left click Start, select Control Panel, go to Programs & Features, 3 clicks. In Windows 10 you right click Start, select Control Panel, go to Programs & Features, 3 clicks. Exactly the same, and the same UI you are familiar with.

So how is proving that Windows 10 is capable of performing the exact same task you quoted as being such a mess, just the same as what you are used to, lazy? I think the lazy one is the person that never bothered to check if Windows 10 really works properly and spends more time trolling. Back under your bridge.

Sounds like Windows 10 is really coming together.

Can't wait to jump on board, as soon as they stop forcing automatic updates and allow you to stop your pc from reporting back to MS.

So says the one who rarely, if ever, has anything other then praise for microsoft. Trolling works both ways, right?

So praising when someone actually does something right is trolling? Sure. Kind of getting past the fact that when someone says "it takes a million clicks to do anything" actually proving that it doesn't and proving the old system is actually still there for people who aren't too lazy to even try.

OK mate, clearly you've proved your point.

in Windows 10, right click start , first thing in the menu is Programs and Features, click > View Installed Updates ... Win 10 it`s a 1 click operation faster than your Win 7 ... if you don`t understand the OS don`t spread missinformation.

I've been rocking 10 since its launch and have had no problems on hardware certified for 8.1, most of which his now certified for 10 too, and all my drivers have had updates. Only crashes ive had were from bad overclocks :p

Cannot wait for them to push more updates, especially moving the control panel further into settings, that is also supposed to start with this update i think too, and leading up to Redstone II in 2017

+100 for this guy
I proved that right click instead of left click gives the same result using the same method in the same number of clicks
You proved that right click instead of left click gives the same result using a different method in even fewer clicks

From this point on, anyone that says Windows 10 takes a "million clicks to do anything" is clearly a 12 year old Mactard
