Hello,
I installed the latest update of windows 10 onto my laptop a couple of days ago. I had to restart my laptop to let the update do the rest of what it needs to do, and it hasn't finished restarting per say. The computer seems to be booting up but it just won't, it is stuck at the loading screen with the spinning dots. I tried the usual turn it off and turn it back on stuff and nothing. It just stays at the loading screen with the dots spinning around. I tried pressing Control-Alt-Delete on that screen and I am able to get to a blank log in screen and buttons on the bottom right corner where I can see the wifi connected and power button. With the power button accessible I tried to restart windows directly from there and still nothing. I beginning to lose hope on this issue and just format everything and put a fresh copy of windows on my laptop. Now one last strange thing I can say is that I left the laptop booting up for 5 hours yesterday and it finally made it to the desktop, I immediately went to do a system restore to try and undo everything that update did, but as it turns out for some odd reason there aren't any system restore points at all. I haven't the slightest clue why the system restore points were erased. I then went to advanced startup to do repairs on the laptop, but that did nothing at all.
