Latitude E5400 CPU upgrade

I have a Dell Latitude E5400 with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250. The motherboard is Dell 0D695C. I'm looking to upgrade the CPU to the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400. Would this work? Also,would it offer a decent performance improvement? And would a T9600 be significantly better?

Nope.
You'd get more changing your primary drive to an SSD, with adding more ram(an identical stick, but a new kit is preferred) after.

By nope, I meant it wouldn't be as good as the other 2 I mentioned.
