I've been using the C3 with a 3090 FE for a long time without any issues at all. I recently upgraded to the Rog Strix 4090 Gaming, and since doing so I'm now getting random screen flickers. I thought maybe my cable was the issue, so I purchased this HDMI 2.1 Ultra Certified cable but the problem still persists.

I'm on the latest version of the nVidia drivers, and my 4090 firmware is up to date. I'm not sure what else the issue could be. When I reboot my system, the issue will go away for awhile, but it usually returns within a day or two.

Looking for a miracle. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the TV's power cable? I have had similar flickering in the past with monitors where the power plug wiggled themselves loose.

I have not but I will later today. The thing is, the flickering isn't the entire screen. It's like artifact flickering in random locations around the screen. I would think if it was a power cable issue, the entire screen would just go black when it flickered but that's not the case. I'll still check it though.

For reference, there's a video in this reddit post that shows exactly what I'm seeing. It's not my video, but it's the same symptoms.

That video shows artifacting. That is usually a sign of a defective graphics card. Have you tried using DDU to get rid of your current Nvidia driver and reinstall the driver? Usually this type of problem is a defective card, a corrupted driver, or a bad data cable from source to TV. It can be a bad port on either the card or the TV as well but that is easy enough to test by changing the ports.

I have not tried DDU yet but I did reinstall the drivers while checking off the box for a clean install. I just swapped out cards and went from there. I have tried 2 different cables so far, and I just ordered another cable from Cable Matters as well. I'm also going to try the other HDMI 2.1 port on the card (there are 2 of those). I wish it were easily reproduceable but in my experience the problems take a day or two to crop up again.

DDU is much more thorough and can work wonders with these types of problems. Here is a guide written by a fellow Tom's user on how to use DDU.
