LCD controller with temp readings and fan

My case is the Corsair Carbide Air 540. I am planning on adding a few more fans. I'd like to know if there are successful builds where others have used specific LCD controllers with temperature gauges. There are only two slots for availability (the optical drives). If any out there please link some sites to the controller or perhaps to a website where this specific case has builds. Please and thank you for all the suggestions and recommendations/information! ^.^

Not sure what the dimensions are to replace the drive bay for the controller. Anyone seen this done on this case?

Planning on controlling about7 fans. Any that can fit in that slot?
