Hello

I am having problems finding the best monitor for graphics work. I am looking to spend under $300 for a monitor. I will be using mostly CAD, Adobe creative suite, other intensive graphics programs. I will probably be staring at this thing for upwards of 10 hours a day so would like it to be nice.

Color is important. Size, bigger the better.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

If color accuracy is important then the only option is Dell 2209WA. However, it is currently suspended. It uses an e-IPS panel which makes it better than a TN panel at color reproduction.

If this is for professional usage, then I highly recommend you bump up you budget. The Dell 2409WFP is currently around $450 and uses a S-PVA which produces better colors than a TN panel. That's the minimum I would spend.

just looking at newegg for well reviewed products in that range, I came up with

SAMSUNG Toc T220HD

NEC LCD225WNXM-BK

LG L227WTG-PF

All are around $250.

In terms of color accuracy for print I will have access to a mac lab w/ studio displays, so this is not crucial. I am looking for an affordable compromise that I will enjoy staring at for most of my life for the nest 3-4 years.

Any thoughts on those models listed?
