LCD help

hey guys i have a question i hope you can answer. i have a dell lcd and when i turned it on this morning and the power button just kept flashing green and the monitor never turned on. the pc works fine and so does the video card when i hooked it up to an old crt. so is this bad news, probably time for a new monitor

Flashing light means that:
a) Monitor is on sleep mode (normally no signal from computer)
Check the cable is properly plugged to computer and monitor.
or
Check video card is properly seated within the computer.
b) Computer is on energy saving mode.
Move your mouse or press a key to wake it up.
