LCD/LED in Flatscreen CRT Case?

Is it possible to put an LCD/LED monitor inside of a CRT case? I might be doing a 90's style rig in the future, and I was just wondering this in case I go through with it.

Expect to use a large amount of glue to mount it, but it should generally fit. Might need to pull the LCD out of its case.

You should be able to fit a whole build in a CRT case...

As long as you don't go for a wide screen lcd or led panel it is more than possible. But you will need to mod quite a bit as far as mounting and the power buttons go.

Are there any dangers to opening a CRT and emptying out everything?

Give it a few hours/days unplugged to let all the capacitors discharge. Make sure you don't break the tube. That's about it.
