I have the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-53.

I know alcohol is harmful as it can strip anti-glare coating and matte finish from my screen, and I believe water should be fine but I don't know about wiping the screen everyday with a microfiber cloth dry.

Will the coatings or anything get damaged if I use a microfiber cloth to dry dust my screen everyday?

If you happened to wear glasses, you'd know that microfibre clothes (together with all the collected dirt and grime) are perfectly capable of scratching the supposedly much harder coatings on the lenses.

So yes, you'd probably make a lot of little and barely-noticeable scratches that way. But unlike glasses, it'd probably not matter over the expected lifespan of your laptop, unless it is in a machine shop or someplace similar with too much abrasive dust floating around.
