LCD monitor not working. It has power but the screen is black.

My viewsonic monitor died recently. The screen was randomly turning black and to fix it I had to turn on and off my monitor. One day that method stopped working..... Now when I turn on my monitor the screen is always black. Recently, I opened my monitor to checked the capacitors (on the power circuit thingy) and they were fine. Please help me fix it... i reaally need that monitor D=<

I've had to fix two 3-year-old Viewsonics recently -- in both cases capacitor in the power supply board had failed. On one monitor's board the capacitor can was bursting -- on the other the capacitor looked normal but the monitor worked when that capacitor was replaced.

Google your model number and see if any issues on that model appear in the results.
