Question LCD replacement: Generic vs Original

Hello guys, I have a faulty LCD screen on my MSI GT72VR after using it for 1.5 years. Looking at prices I can get a Generic replacement for aprox. 60$ while original Innolux LCD will cost over 150$.
My question is: is there really a difference? Both are made in China. Original screen was faulty after 1.5 years of use. Is there really a difference between them that is worth investing a buck? Thanks for your answers.

It will be hard to know.
It could be a knock off low quality unit or the generic unit could be the same as the original installed on the unit.
I got one for the GS73VR for $70 and it looked the same as the original.
It has been almost 2 years and I have not hear a complaint... so I assume it's still working.
