LCD vs CRT

Some of my relatives have told me that LCD's are a bit better since they dont produce heat and eyestrain opposed to CRT monitors...

Although CRT monitors are said to be ebtter for gaming or better picture

What are your thoughts?

CRT's used to be better for gaming, not now that Dell has marketed the 2405.
Basically a good CRT is better than high latency LCD's, but that is where the line is drawn, imo...

Many LCD's still only use 6 bit color so they don't produce the exact shade accurately, or they do so by dithering or fast color switching which some people can see as flickering.
