Hello,

I'm having a chronic problem with a server where I will receive
two errors repeatedly for 30 minutes, and then the server is shutdown.
The two errors I see are:

Type: Error
Category: None
Event ID: 2029
User: N/A
Description: LDAP returns error when binding to domain. Error code 0.

Type: Error
Category: None
Type: Error
Event ID: 1552
User: N/A
Description: LDAP returns error when binding to domain. Error code 81.

Now, I know that LDAP error code 0 is "successful connection" and
that code 81 is "server could not be contacted." The server is
apparently not dying at a stop error or a blue screen as there are no
dumps from the times this happens although it is configured to produce
them. The only dump I have from anywhere even close to this timeframe,
as parsed using dumpchk, shows:

I do not believe this dump is in any way shape or form related,
but this is all I've got information-wise to troubleshoot this problem.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

At this point I'm starting to think that there are network problems
along the way between this box and the DC it communicates with. I am
currently investigating that possibility with our WAN team... In the
meantime, any ideas?

I am getting the same error (this portion anyway) BugCheckCode . . . .
..0x0000007f
> BugCheckParameter1 . .0x00000008

on a single processor machine (XP1700+ with 1 gig ram) running windows 2k
pro (this is not a server, but maybe both scratching our heads we will find
an answer)
This error occurred before sp4 install, continued after, trashed it all and
reloaded and installed sp4, still same problem. Now for the kicker. This only
occurs when I connect to the internet (using dialup, 26 to 28k - equipment
holder went to broadband provider and our dialup accounts simultaneously
shrunk by half, not the isp, all they lease to went the same way) Doesn't
appear to be browser specific. It happens with IE or Firefox. I'll let you
know if I figure it out and would appreciate the same from you.
