sorry if this has been posted/asked previously, but I"m new to the board, and didnt' see it in my browsing.
Anyhow, I just got a new Leadtek Winfast A350 Card (5900 Ultra GPU, 256MB DDR) and am trying to use the VIVO functions. It comes with a few programs, and I've also used Windows Movie Maker 2, Vegas Video (which I've had and used from other capture cards) and even Adobe Premiere Pro 7, but I"m having the following issue with ALL programs.
When I capture video from my home video camera (a Kindergarten Graduation) to the PC, using the Leadtek VIVO "stuff", It seems to go fine, and looks great while capturing. However, as I play it back, or go into editing, it comes up throughout the video with a "reverse Widescreen" effect. . whereas the center of the screen, all the way across, is white. . .a long white bar, that would seem to fill the entire screen, if I were watching a Widescreen movie. I can see the top and bottom of the video, and sound plays fine, but this comes and goes throughout my entire recording.
My thoughts are that it's nVidia's built-in Macrovision protection, except why would this be happening, when I"m recording from a Home recording? My Video camera is plugged into an outlet, so shouldn't be weak signal due to low battery life or anything? This is happening exactly the same, in EXACTLY the same spots, when I use ANY of these video editing programs trying to capture. I'm unable to use the function as-is. Anyone else have/know of this issue, and how I can resolve it? I have the latest Detonator drivers (53.03 I believe?) latest WDM drivers from nVidia as well. Running on an Athlon XP 1800+ Processor on Gigabyte GA-7DXR motherboard w/ 512MB Mushkin High performance pc2100 DDR RAM, PLENTY of Hard drive space, all at 7200rpm. Capturing from my Sharp brand VL-E780 Video Camera. Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you!
