Does any technology used in AA and AAA batteries prevent leakage? i lost a lot of joysticks because the battery leaked inside it, causing corrosion.

1. Don't buy crappy batteries.
2. Take them out regularly...don't let them sit in the device.

very tiring to constantly remove and replace these batteries on random days so I wanted to keep it in the device

Generally speaking, if an item is in typical use, the batteries will die and need to be replaced long before any leakage occurs. If you haven't used a device in a month or so, you may want to consider removing the batteries.

If you're using the device regularly and the batteries are leaking before they die, then (as above), don't buy crappy batteries.
