why would anyone want to read a book on a nexus 7? so youre eyes look like cherries by the time your finished? like jabob mentioned, this has weeks of battery life, weighs less than a quarter of the nexus 7, and is VERY easy on the eyes. the new backlight feature as Ive seen on the nook is extremely good and doesnt take as dramatic a hit from battery life as youd expect.

also, not even sure if you read the article...

This was an article about amazon kindle. In the future, please read the article (or at least the title) before leaving erroneous comments.

last kindle article here(yesterday) mentioned a new kindle with backlight and color. is the color actually announced yet or is it speculation?

It's very easy to change pages, doesn't seem like it'll take a lot of adapting.
