I really don't understand what all the attention is for surrounding this phone.

The hardware isn't suppose to be cutting edge as all reports so far talk about it being a mid range phone, won't have an SD slot, won't have a user replaceable battery.

I can see it being a good, solid seller as many people will want a good phone at a decent price, but it pushes away the heavy phone user who will want to swap out batteries. Will also push those away who want control over their data and not have to do everything on the cloud as well as not attracting the enthusiasts who want the "latest and greatest" in hardware.

Just don't understand how this phone warrants so much attention.

this is just going to be another mediocre android phone. its a shame i was hoping this would be moto take on the Nexus phone

so, is it going to be a snapdragon S4? 800 series? is there a difference? i thought this was supposed to be a dual-core version of the high-end "PRO" chip so while not a screamer the battery life should be excellent? ...or? maybe?
