I am very new about the lease line connection, In my office we have 6MBPS contention ration 1:1 internet lease line from Reliance.

This connection is running in a single machine, I have tried to download files from Microsoft site, but the download speed showing 1.5 MBPS.

But I was suppose to get 6MBPS download speed as its a dedicated 6MBPS line.

Please guide me.

If it is a wireless antenna then it is not what is normally referred to as a leased line.

Still what you have should have a guaranteed dedicated bandwidth they are calling it a leased line. It should run 6m up and 6m down at the same time with no degradation. It should be point to point on dedicated radios on both ends.

It really comes down to what is in the contract. If this is some shared access media where they promise everyone 6m the that is the standard "up to 6m" with the fine print saying if nobody else we sold service to is using it.
It sounds like something is misconfiguration. The 1.5 number is very telling. To get 6m they are likely bonding 4 1.5m t1 together. Normally this is done with multilink ppp. If they have done it incorrectly it may be setup as 4 equal cost point to point and they are load balancing by session rather than by packet.

It depends who did the configuration of the router on your premise. I suspect it was your ISP so you need to call them and ask what they have done wrong.

You could also have 3 or the 4 lines in the bundle done but most times that causes alarms at the ISP so they will fix it.
