Leave running and reboot or turn off

is it good to leave your system up and running all the time, like up overnight then in the morning just reboot.?
or to turn unit off at night and over the weekend then turn back on the next business day.?
and why is that.?

it depends.if the room teperature is below 37 c ,there is no harm in leaving your desktop running all day and night,for notbooks it is not advisable to leave it running because of the inadeguate cooling to preserve battery life.for netbooks ,the doesnot produce large amount of heat so they can be running all day and night
