LED fan shorting a Mother board?

hey so today I built my first computer, I had some trouble the computer would post, but when I put in the last led of the last fan, it wouldn't post. So i tried to move it to different pins, thought oh the USB pin shouldn't be the end of the world. sparks flew... think my mother board is fried or can it be saved?

Well you dont put fans in a USB header. If this is what you did.

You plug them into 3 or 4 pin fan headers. Read the manual before you assemble it

it was a 2 pin LED is my Mother board fried?

2 pin?? Is it for the front of the case? Dont know, you'll have to assemble it and find out

Havent seen 2 pin led fan. Most of them are 3 or 4 pin

the fan itself is 3 pin, but the LED lights are only 2 pin
