Hi, I'm having an issue with my custom build.
I have a Corsair Carbide 500R case, and it has been working perfectly for 3-4 months. Yesterday though, all the LED fans suddenly stopped working out of nowhere. It was completely out of the blue; I was in the middle of drawing, and they just shut off and stopped spinning. The fan controller isn't working anymore either.
The exhaust fan and the CPU fan seem to be working completely fine though. The computer boots normally as well, and it runs the same.
I think it may possibly be related to my power supply. It has been randomly revving up and when the PSU fan goes back to a normal speed, it makes an annoying whining noise. It doesn't sound like coil whine at all. I don't have anything to test the power supply, so I'm not sure how to go about that.
Something else is that the working exhaust fan is connected to a fan header on motherboard, while the LED fans are connected to the PSU. I also noticed that a few of the pins on the fans' male molex connector are wiggly. They aren't falling out, and it appears to hook up to the female molex fine.
I'm kind of lost here, can you all give me some advice? Thanks.
