LED lights on Asus H97 Pro Gamer and cpu compatibility

Can you disable the onboard red LED lights on this motherboard? ruins my vibes

and btw i have this i5 4460 would it work without any bios update from the h97 considering the one im buying is brand new

I'm pretty sure asus has an option under the bios to disable the led lights. My hero VIII does at least.
