LED of the monitor

if the LED(the small light in the front side of the monitor) is always on,that is,i shut down the computer but the monitor,will it do harm to the monitor?thx.

If there is mains power to the monitor, and it isn't physically switched off, there should be an LED on (usually orange, either permanent or blinking).

This is normal :smile:

Hmmm... the tube shouldn't be on and therefore the will not harm the picture elements, but the monitor electonics (power supply electronics) is on standby which may affect that parts life.

Anyway, it still uses up electricity (about 3 watts or less) so unless you need the monitor on most of the day, just turn it off everyday when you are done.

Quality is better than name brand, even regarding beloved AMD.
