Question LED on ryzen 1700 stock cooler not working

I bought ryzen 7 1700 without knowing the led on cooler would need a rgb header which my asrock b450 m 4.0 do not have. Is there any way i can light up the led, even any single color would do.
I found only one video on YouTube which shows shorting 2 pins would light the led strip, short different pins and the color changes, but will it not lead to any short circuit. And if not how can i short those pins for all the time when my pc is running.
