I just bought an Antec 1200 case and I absolutely love it.

However, it is in my bedroom and those LEDs on all of the fans are quite bright. Has anyone tried rewiring just the LEDs so you can switch them on and off? I run the computer through the night, so turning off the fans is not an optimum solution.

The LED wires on the fans are extremely tiny (I'm afraid if I cut them, I won't be able to solder them back) and I cannot determine if they are in series or parallel. Anyone have any insights into this kind of work?

Hi dontocsata,

I would avoid cutting or rewiring because it might break the fan. My recommendation would be just replacing the 120mm fans. You could buy them online or at a retail store, better yet I'm pretty sure someone will be willing to trade a regular 120mm fan for a blue LEDs 120mm fan for free.

Regards,
Antec

Hi antec_rep,

I guess that you work for Antec. In this case, and if possible, I would like to know if the ANTEC EARTHWATTS 500W model ( http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=NjU= ) (not the 500D model) is nowadays made by Seasonic or Delta.
Thank you very much.
