hi guys,

so i set up some pretty cool looking green LEDs in my case to match the green backlit keyboard i got.

and i have this cougar mouse that has an orange light on it. the orange light doesnt go off when i shut down the computer. its plugged into a usb port on the front of my case. i think its a 2.0 usb.

is there anyway i can keep the LEDs lit when the computer is powered down, same as the cougar mouse?

then i could unplug my nightlight 😉

The mouse isn't getting power if the computer is off, are you sure you mean turn off? Or going to sleep? But the answer is no, you won't have powered LEDs with the computer shut off unless you have them connected to an external power source.

um yeh im pretty sure i know the difference between sleep and off lol. i was suprised too when i bought the mouse that it was somehow still drawing power even when the computer was off. ill post a picture this weekend when i get a chance, if the mouse can do it there has to be someway the leds can too...

hey i put image links in the original post so you can see what im talking about.

how does the light in my mouse draw power while the computer is shut down???

is there a way i can tell my LED's to do the same?
