Left 4 Dead 2 on an Early 2015 MacBook Air, problem?

I just started playing Left 4 Dead 2 on my Early 2015 MacBook Air (default specs, except with 8 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB) yesterday.

I bumped down all the video settings to their lowest possible and turned on triple buffered VSync and turned down the resolution to 1280 x 800.

I noticed the CPU Proximity temperature was reading 80 degrees Celcius, while the CPU cores themselves were reading around 80-90 degrees Celcius - and I'm slightly worried that I might be damaging my MacBook Air by doing this.

I won't play L4D2 every single day, just occasionally, but I was wondering if I would be damaging my MacBook Air if I continue to play it? I'd also like to know the safe operating temperatures for the processor, i5-5250U, if possible.

Thanks!

The air doesn't have active cooling so it goes up to max temps immediatly. it will just thermal throthle and slow down to prevent damaging itself so you will be fine. Your fps will suffer from it but the pc itself will be fine. Just poorly designed cooling on apples part.
