I just switched from a ATI Radeon card to a Nvidia card.
I ran the ATI uninstaller and deleted the Catalyst Control Center from Programs and Features before i installed the Nvidia card and then installed the Nvidia driver.
I just noticed a ATI process running --
I went into administartive tools, services and disabled it.
Should it remove it? and should i remove it through services or through Autoruns?
I also opened uo Autoruns and found two more ATI files--
R300 (a ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver)
atikmdag.sys (also a ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver, opens with unknown application)
The timestamps shows in Autoruns as 10/12/2006
I just reinstalled Windows a year ago and always ran a Nvidia card that came with this computer. So why would there be two ATI files with that date?
I believe 2006 is the date this computer (HP m9250f) was made.
Is it safe to delete these 2 files through Autoruns?
Do i need to go into the registry and look for leftover ATI files?
