[SOLVED] Legion 5 17ACH6H and Asus VG248QG DP compatibility for 165HZ

Asus VG248QG and Asus VG271Q1A both have DP 1.2 and HDMI 1.4 . Can this laptop support that for 165HZ

in other words is it a problem that my HDMI and DP ports are higher than the monitor? 1.2 and 1.4 vs 1.4 and 2.1

alright so after looking up on the internet a bit more it seems i might need some kind of adapter or cable . this is the placement of the ports. (seems they are too small for basic dp monitor cable) https://tinypic.host/i/dphdmi1.fe4P8
