Hello guys,
I have Lenovo Legion Pro 7 which is not even 1 yr old notebook with Ryzen 9 7945HX and RTX4090 mainly used for gaming. (I need to travel in life a lot so that was only option for me to keep my hobby with me)
Unfortunately I realized that my GPU and CPU started thermal throttling due to high temperatures. Its very strange after 1yr of use. Anyway, PC opened, cleaned, new standard thermal paste used and everything is totally fine. (I could have use warranty but i did not have time to let my notebook in service for days just because of this.)
I decided to improve thermal transfer between CPU/GPU and coolers and read recommendations on internet to use:
AMD Ryzen CPU -> liquid metal paste , i was thinking about Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut with 73 W/mK
Nvidia RTX GPU -> thermal pad Honeywell PTM-7950 or Thermal Grizzly Carbonaut Pad?
What do you think?
Does it make sense?
Is it better to use PADs or standard thermal paste is better?
Or go with liquid metal paste?
I have standard paste EVOLVEO Ptero TC 2.
My main goal is to NOT overclock, but play and keep PC cooled as best as possible and use it to multitasking as much as possible And also to not do this process every few months.
Thank you very much for you help.
