I have one of these coming but am considering returning it unopened. I've read conflicting reports that the memory (billed as DDR5-5600) will only run at 4400MHz on this machine, while others say that XMP can be enabled in the bios to allow it to run happily at 5600MHz.

Is anybody able to confirm for me that these latest Legion 7i Gen8 towers can run their memory at full speed?

Also read reports that some have been unable to add a second M.2 SSD. Anybody able to weigh in on that either way?

Anything beyond stock frequency is an overclock, in order to achieve that overclock without having to fiddle and figure out what timings the ram can go to, you use X.M.P functionality which is an overclocking profile baked into the ram kit.

Yes, you will be able to get to those advertised speeds, only and only if you enable X.M.P in BIOS or if you manually set the frequency, voltage and timings as stated on the stickered part of the ram sticks into BIOS manually.

Got a link to the prebuilt you're eyeing a purchase on?
