News LegoGPT creates Lego designs using AI and text inputs — tool now available for free to the public

That sounds great for when you want to build a Lego set piece fast for a show room display or something.
I wonder how well the LLM accounts for long term stability of its design? I know the official Lego kits go through a rigorous test before they are sold, so they won't fall apart unless you drop them on a hard floor.

IMO, the fun part of Lego is free building and creating something all on your own. There is satisfaction when something you imagined in your head comes together. It might have some trial and error, but you get to learn from it.

Where as using an LLM skips all of that and you become the cog in the machine, more specifically the robotic arms, of a robotic assembler. Don't think, just cog, cog fast and hard.

At last! How long has it been? How long have the suffering masses of humanity been crying out to be freed from the drudgery and toil of playing with Legos?
